Hanover Banner(1) Please read the information and policies below before submitting your request.

Students, faculty, and staff currently affiliated with Hanover College may request loans of books, articles, and media from other libraries.

Users are expected to make a thorough check of our own catalog and electronic holdings before requesting an item on interlibrary loan. ILL items cannot be placed on Reserve.

On average, requests are processed and received within 7-14 working days (not including weekends or holidays). Difficult items to verify or locate may take longer. You can help us speed up the process by providing as much citation information about your item as possible, so please ask a reference librarian if you need help completing your request!

Electronic copies and photocopies of articles are yours to keep and will be delivered through campus mail or email.

Books are due one month, and media material are due two weeks, from the day we receive them. You will be notified that the item is at the Circulation Desk waiting for you to pick it up within one working day of the day we get it, so it is important for you to pick up materials in a timely fashion.

Additional information about the Interlibrary Loan service and policies is available at: http://library.hanover.edu/research/ill.php.

    Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17,United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of the specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would violate the copyright law.

I agree to comply with these restrictions.
